Female Personal Care Assistant wanted for elderly lady in Harpenden 27hrs+ per week - HARPENDEN - AL5

I am looking for someone to provide help and care for my Mother who lives in a "granny flat" within our home.  She is cheerful and outgoing but has limited mobility (uses a walking aid), mild dementia and severe arthritis in her hands.  All that said she is easy to look after, but we feel she would benefit from a permanent PA to help her remain at home for the coming years.

I am hoping to secure someone to work Thursday, Saturday and Sunday probably 9am till 7pm with an hour break.  There would be the possibility of additional hours on some Fridays.

Duties would include:
Assisting with personal care - washing and helping with getting dressed
Providing companionship - my Mum loves a good chat
Preparing and cooking meals - light lunch ie soup or sandwich and microwave meal in the evening
Providing tea and coffee throughout the day
Reminding her to take her medication
Ensuring Mum is safe and comfortable - just keeping an eye on her to avoid her having any falls

I have been doing shared caring with my Sister which she would like to continue to do.  She looks after Mum during some of the school holidays and I would be offering those weeks as paid holiday

Looking for someone to start as soon as possible
