We are looking to recruit a team of five female Personal Assistants to support a friendly, resilient and good-humoured transgender woman living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) to remain independent in her own home.
A range of hours are available, all paid at £14.67 per hour:
4 x hours daily x 7 days per week, to assist with personal care, bed bathing, using a hoist to support moving and handling, meal prep, support with feeding and hydration, assisting with ventilator and household tasks e.g. changing bedding, washing, drying etc
1 x hour (pm) x 7 days per week to support with meal prep, feeding and hydration
Full training will be provided, including ventilator management and moving and handling. Experience of supporting someone with MND would be advantageous but is not essential.
The successful applicants will be caring, reliable, open-minded and supportive, with a commitment to providing person-centred care. You will be joining an established team and playing a valued role in helping this lady maintain her independence, dignity and quality of life.
Successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
