I am looking for a female (Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies) Personal Assistant to provide reliable, supportive day‑to‑day assistance. This role involves helping me establish routines, supporting my wellbeing and assisting with daily living tasks. I require you to work 6:00am–7:30am Monday-Friday and 4.00pm-5.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 6.35pm -7.35pm Tuesday and 7.25pm - 8.25pm Thursday. There may be opportunities for additional hours to attend appointments however the primary morning hours and afternoon Mon, Wed and Friday are a requirement of the post.
Location: Norwich, NR3
Details:
- Morning support 6-7.30am Monday-Friday, including showering, dressing and preparing for the day.
- Support to leave the house, including accompanying me to the gym.
- Provide encouragement and support when using the gym equipment. PA can participate in gym activities but will need to sign gyms terms and conditions accepting any liability to any injuries as you would using any gym.
- Assistance with preparing nutritious meals for myself and my family later in the day from 4pm-5pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- Opportunity to participate in yoga on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
- Prompts and encouragement to eat regularly and maintain mealtime routines.
- Accompanying me to appointments (doctor, dentist, hospital).
- Prompting and support with household tasks.
Personal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.
Essential:
Experience supporting adults with mental health conditions i
- Reliable, dependable and adaptable, with a calm and supportive approach.
Desirable:
- Experience with dissociation and agoraphobia.
- It would be helpful if the PA has knowledge and experience of gym equipment or personal training.
- Able to work flexibly when needed to attend occasional appointments.
Summary Terms and Conditions
- The rate of pay for this position is £20.00 per hour
- Hours and times of work as follows: 6:00am–7:30am Monday-Friday plus 4.00pm-5.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 6.35pm -7.35pm Tuesday and 7.25pm - 8.25pm Thursday. There may be opportunities for additional hours to attend appointments however the primary hours are a requirement of the post.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.To be taken on bank holidays, 2 weeks over Christmas and remaining over school holidays. To be agreed in advance. Best taken in combination with my own holidays to avoid unpaid weeks.
- Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.
The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
