Job Description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant.
I am looking for a reliable female (Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies) Personal Assistant.
Hours required 6:00am–7:30am Monday-Friday
4.00pm-5.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Desirable Yoga Hours: 6.35pm -7.35pm Tuesday
7.25pm - 8.25pm Thursday.
This role involves helping me to utilise the gym (participating role preferred although not essential), to establish routines, supporting my wellbeing and assist with daily living tasks.
Location: Norwich, NR3
Details:
- Morning support 6-7.30am Monday-Friday,
- Support to leave the house to attend the gym every morning to help with routines. PA can choose to participate in gym activities but will need to sign the gyms usual release of liability.
- Prompts for morning routine including ensuring correct medication is taken.
- Opportunity to participate in yoga on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
- Assistance with preparing nutritious meals for myself and my family later in the day from 4pm-5pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Prompts and encouragement to eat regularly and maintain mealtime routines.
- Additional opportunities to assist with accompanying me to appointments (doctor, dentist, hospital etc).
- Support with household tasks.
Personal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.
Essential:
- Reliable, dependable and adaptable.
- Time keeping and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS
Desirable:
- Experience with dissociation and agoraphobia.
- Knowledge and experience of gym equipment or personal training.
- Able to work flexibly when needed to attend occasional appointments.
Summary Terms and Conditions
- The rate of pay for this position is £20.00 per hour
- Hours and times of work as follows: 6:00am–7:30am Monday-Friday, 4.00pm-5.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 6.35pm -7.35pm Tuesday and 7.25pm - 8.25pm Thursday. There may be opportunities for additional hours to attend appointments however the primary hours are a requirement of the post.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.To be taken on bank holidays, 1 week over Christmas, 1 week over Easter and the remaining to be agreed in advance to ensure I can get cover.
- Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.
The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
