We now only need one staff member to cover Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week 8am to 8 pm £10.50 per hour 

We are looking to recruit a team of Personal Support Assistant/s to support a lady who has a Spinal Cord Injury (Tetraplegia) and has complex health needs including tracheostomy care. The lady lives in her home in Burnley, Lancashire. 





The role is to provide clinical and personal care, emotional and social support, health monitoring with relevant responses, maintaining personal safety and administering medications. The training required in the clinical interventions to do the job will be provided. NB this list is not exhaustive. 




It is not essential that you have experience in care and support but essential attributes include empathy, enthusiasm, a calm approach, willingness to learn and adapt, reliability and flexibility in a changing situation. 





You will work independently as a member of an experienced and competent team. You will receive full support during induction from the employer and her team, during which you will receive full training in all aspects of clinical and other duties. 




You will work in her home, where everyone works well together. Support is primarily provided within the home, which is adapted. Respect for the employer's space and privacy is essential. 





Hours: Daytime 8 am-8 pm and 8 pm-8 am Waking Nights. 




The rate of pay: £10.50  per hour to be reviewed after a probationary period. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid leave. 

Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check and clearance. 




Waking hours staff must be able to drive.
