Job Description
I require a candidate who is reliable, motivated and kind. Someone who is alert and calm, who can call first responders if necessary. Experience working optimistically with a client with long-term health issues / disabilities is essential. Basic first aid is required, or training can be given. Future training will be necessary for potential PEG and tracheotomy care. Basic knowledge of medication handling required, or training can be given.

Location: PE14, Wisbech

Main Duties:
- Occasional personal care.
- Being alert and monitoring during eating and drinking, as client chokes several times a day.

- Taking the client to hospital/G.P. appointments – these will usually be during working hours, but occasionally some appointments may run in to the late afternoon. Due to cognitive impairment, being assisted with these appointments is necessary.
- Due to the clients health the home must be damp dusted and cleaned regularly – generally a room a day.

- Help with general household duties; laundry, vacuuming etc.
- Help with food preparation.
- Shopping.
- Occasional assistance in the garden.

Summary Terms and Conditions

You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses as part of this role, with mileage paid at 45p per mile.
The rate of pay for this position is £11 p/h.
Hours and times of work as follows: 6 hours a day, Mondays to Fridays. Must be willing to be flexible around school times.
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 3 months.
