A friendly, reliable male Personal Assistant/ Support Worker is required to provide evening support to an adult living in his own home.

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting independent living. The position would suit someone calm, practical and dependable who enjoys being active and working in a home environment.

You will be assisting with everyday tasks, DIY jobs, home projects, accompanying on outings, and helping with evening routines.

Hours

Part-time evening shifts:

Monday: 6:00pm – 11:30pm
Wednesday: 6:00pm – 11:30pm
Friday: 6:00pm – 11:30pm
Saturday: 6:30pm – 12:00am

Pay

£13.50 per hour

22 hours a week

LS17 area

Main Duties

Your role will include a mix of practical support and companionship, such as:

Supporting independent living during the evening
Assisting with various household tasks
Accompanying on local errands
Supporting with evening outings and activities
Assisting with parts of an evening routine
Accompanying the employer on evening walks in his wheelchair alongside his protection dog

About You

The ideal person will be:

Reliable and trustworthy
Calm, patient and respectful
Confident working independently
Comfortable around dogs and cats
Happy to accompany the employer on walks and outings

Essential Requirements

Male applicant (due to the nature of the role)
Full UK driving licence and access to a car
Very good spoken English

Previous experience in care or support work is welcome but not essential, as reliability and a positive attitude are most important.
