Are you a kind, reliable and compassionate person looking for a rewarding Support Worker or Personal Assistant role?
An elderly lady with Lewy Body Dementia is seeking a team of caring Personal Assistants to provide person-centred support at home. She is a sociable and engaging lady who enjoys a good chat over a cup of tea and a biscuit. An animal lover throughout her life, she enjoys reading, completing word searches and spending time with her friendly family dog.
We are looking for 2 or 3 Personal Assistants to work together to provide consistent support and help cover annual leave and sickness when required.
What the role involves:
• Supporting with breakfast, meals, snacks and drinks
• Safe administration of medication
• Providing companionship and social support
• Encouraging independence and maintaining routines
• Providing reassurance and dementia-aware support throughout the day
• Supporting attendance at the local day centre and family visits
• Monitoring wellbeing and responding appropriately to changing needs
What we're looking for:
• A caring, patient and friendly nature
• Understanding of dementia and person-centred support
• Reliable, trustworthy and dependable approach
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Comfortable working in a home with a friendly but vocal dog
• Experience in care or support work would be beneficial
Hours and Pay:
• £14.67 per hour
• Total care package: 31.5 hours per week
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Single split shifts comprising morning and afternoon support visits
• Additional flexibility to help cover annual leave and sickness where possible
