Job Description:  Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.
 
I am a 26-year-old wheelchair using, gothic, animal lover with complex and varying health needs.  I require a female (Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies) Personal Assistant to support me in my home and the community. I enjoy gaming, anime, caring for my pets and working with my assistance dog in training.
I require support to attend appointments and social and leisure activities, preferably with a health focus. I also like to go shopping. I primarily use public transport and require support with this. Our household includes dogs, cats and ferrets and you must be comfortable around animals.
 
It is essential you treat me with dignity, respect and compassion at all times, whilst maintaining professionalism and safeguarding throughout.
 
Location: East Winch Village, PE32
 
Details:
-          Assistance with washing, dressing and personal hygiene
-          Support with meal preparation and planning
-          Assisting me to complete household tasks including laundry, changing bedding and maintaining a clean and tidy environment
-          Support with fatigue management and breaking tasks down into smaller tasks
-          Support in the community to attend appointments and social and leisure activities
-          Help with organisation and admin tasks including scheduling appointment.

Summary Terms and Conditions
-          The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour
-          Hours and times of work as follows: 2-3 hours per week between 11.00am-2.00pm Monday-Friday (flexibility required). Possibility of increasing hours up to 15 hours per week.
-          The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
-          Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.
 
Post is subject to the following
-          A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer. 
 Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer. 
-          Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
