Personal assistant / Carer to support client to live independently at home

A vacancy has become available for a carer to work as part of a small team, supporting the client in his independent bungalow. Our client is looking to recruit someone with a great sense of humour and positive outlook. He is a young man who loves football, music, going for days out and living life as fully as possible.

The client has a brain injury and requires 24 hour 2:1 care. Duties will include all aspects of care including personal care; moving and handling; administering medication and using a ceiling hoist. Experience is desirable however it is not essential as full training and shadow shifts will be provided.

Shifts available are either a combination of day and night shifts or permanent nights (depending on preference). Day shift hours are: 07:00 – 17:00/19:00 and night shift hours are 19:00 – 07:00 (waking nights). There are full- time or part-time hours available.

A driver with a clean driving licence is advantageous as the client has his own bus to travel to places for days out.

Start date for this role is expected to be as soon as notice period has been worked.
