Carer £13/hr no experience needed - CAMBRIDGE - CB3

I am a 24 year old female young professional at university.

I am an active manual wheelchair user and need assistance to help me live independently in my flat at Cambridge Uni.

This means I need support in getting up and sorted for the day and getting ready for bed in the evening. I need assistance to safely transfer into the shower, prepare medication, make hot drinks and food.

I love to go to the gym, out on walks in parks or the woods, to the shops, out for coffee and accompanying me on these would also be part of your role.  Some days  we would be going out during the day time for these activities, or to attend hospital appointments or to the pharmacy. 

I’d need you to accompany me on occasional trips away if it was your shift day with plenty of notice given. I am reliant upon your assistance to attend university and so it is vital that you can work flexibly around my health and study needs, you must be reliable and punctual as well as a caring and friendly person.

This role is unlikely to work around another job as there will be times you need to work extra hours  or cover for another PA if they are ill.

The shift pattern is a two week rota of roughly 2 days on and 3days off, You will have to work during all my university term dates, and fixed holidays will be given. Approximately 4 weeks at Christmas, 4 weeks at Easter and 4 weeks at the summer.

Driving license preferable.

Female essential, preferably with no significant commitments.


A DBS will be processed by me for successful applicants and two references will be required.
