Care Assistant to support a teenager aged 17 years who lives in the Stanley area - Stanley - DH9

This young man enjoys socialising and would like support to access the community. He has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. He would like to get out and about and engage in activities away from the family home to promote his independence. He has a great sense of humour and enjoys a good joke.

This role is for 4 hours per week (Saturday or Sunday), during term time and 8 hours per week during school holidays, there is more flexibility on days during school holidays.

 £13 per hour

 Duties will include:

Assisting this young man to access public transport

Supporting with activities/visits of his choice

Personal care needs

Additional requirements/information:

Experience in supporting with personal care needs desirable

Moving and handling experience desirable

Willingness to build up a relationship with this young man and promote independence

An Advanced DBS will be required
