Care Assistant to provide an elderly woman with companionship 2 hrs p/w @£10-15 per visit - NORWICH - NR13

To support provide companionship and social support to an elderly woman.

          

 

 

Friendly and experienced Personal Assistant required to support my elderly mother in her home. 

 

Since recovering from a broken elbow and recent falls, my mother has lost some of her confidence in mobilising around her home. Your will be required to visit my mother for 30-45 minutes some afternoons (flexibility available) to have a friendly chat and provide some social support and companionship. 

 

 

·      Providing companionship and engaging my mother in conversation to boost overall wellbeing.

·      Any other reasonable duties as required.

 

 

Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. My assessment of these, both on application and at interview, will be the main factor in determining if you are successful. Please refer to these when submitting your application.

 

 

·      Previous experience in a similar role.

·      Friendly and able to engage in conversation.

 

 

·      The rate of pay for this position is £10 per 30-minute visit and £15 per 45-minute visit. 

 

·      You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
                                             

·      Hours and times of work: 2 hours per week, working 30-minute to 45-minute visits 2-4 days per week. Visits to take place around 3pm in the afternoon, some flexibility available around start times and shift patterns. Additional hours available to cover PA sickness and holiday. Exact hours and times to be discussed further at interview.

 

 

·      A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.

 

·      Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.

 

Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
