My names Felix and I’m looking for a PA/support worker for myself, so am reaching out to care practitioners to discuss options.

I'm looking to find support for 2-4 hours at a time up to 8 hours a week (flexible) as well as companionship for the occasional full day's work to support me with certain prearranged community engagements.

At home the kind of support I'm seeking is essentially for someone just to be present and help me focus to keep me on track with self care, day to day chores, exercises and progress towards wider goals over time. I don't need someone to perform the majority of tasks themselves directly, but just to be present and understanding of the difficulties enough to help enable me to sustain focus and motivation.

Its important when working in my own home environment that the dynamic would be right for both parties. Both myself and a care practitioner should have appropriate opportunity to reassure each other of mutual safety and well-being, so we should be able to discuss openly what we might need to know, or what steps we might be able to take towards this.

I have an AuDHD type condition and have sadly struggled a great deal with the commonly associated practical, social, mental/emotional health and employment difficulties. I can become depressed, anxious and increasingly untogether/isolated without having regular supportive 1on1 engagements to look forward too and help keep me on track.
