Care Assistant for person P/T @ £11.30 in St Pauls - Bristol - BS2
Job Reference (af1eeef8)
Disabled woman living in St Pauls with their medium sized dog.
Information about my client:
I am a passionately left wing person who cares deeply for the environment & fairness for all. I love dogs & trying to get time being in nature, identifying plants & foraging & breathing fresh air. I really benefit from a calm & gentle environment, but used to love being at events & used to DJ, sing & perform & really miss these outlets. I love music & creativity, good food, holistic therapies & creative clothing.
My health conditions have significantly impacted how I'm spending my time - I have a mix of problems but most signficant being ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Long Covid, heart problems, PMDD & suffer with weakness & chronic pain. I am struggling with a lack of confidence from being unable to get out much in social scenarios, so would appreciate the company of somebody who can be compassionate to this & patient in supporting me to find ways to integrate more again. I am a so diagnosed ADHD & awaiting Autism assessment so would appreciate someone who can understand the necessity of limiting over stimulation & assist me in staying organised & remembering things.
Some understanding of neurodivergence & fluctuating chronic health problems & the emotional challenges that come with this are necessary.
I've recently experienced a significant bereavement which has also impacted my mental health & it would be great to have the support of someone who can have awarenesses around this.
My strength & mobility have been significantly affected the past year+, I don't use buses & generally rely on taxis & lifts to get around.
It would be a help to have someone who can drive but not necessary.

· Prompts with eating (preparing food and drinks), prompts and support to select appropriate clothing, reassurance whilst showering/bathing, prompts with medication, support with cleaning and prompts with laundry. Also admin - support around numerous appointments, advocating & correspondence.
