Care Assistant for Partially Disabled Female Artist in Bristol BS4, 12.5 hours - BRISTOL - BS4

I'm looking for a PA to work 12.5 hours per week over 3 days. Full drivers license and own car essential. 

Days and times can be negotiated and can be flexible. Rate of Pay £9.00 per hour , rising to £9.87 on completion of a 6 weeks probationary period. Yearly Increment rise  when funding allows.

Shifts will be during the week, preferably evenly spaced (currently mon,wed,fri but am open to different days or including weekends if preferable to the candidate) but can’t do back to back shifts but can be flexible. 

Scope for extra hours if wanted.

 

Tasks include:
- Help with domestic tasks
- Driving
- Support me to get to social engagements & appointments. 
- Support to live as independently as possible

- No Personal Care
- Support with care planning and my routines
-Occasional Support with some mental tasks and advocacy 

 

Experience of working in the support sector in either physical or mental health would be preferred, although training will be given to the right candidate. 

I am a very creative and an independent person with a good sense of humour and though Iʼm in my forties, I have a younger outlook.

I enjoy pottery, gardening, music, going to the cinema, theatre, comedy, exhibitions, dining out with friends and travelling. 

I’m a non-smoker and have two cats . 

I mainly get about using a stick but sometimes need to use a wheelchair. I need support with domestic tasks, food shopping, laundry, driving and attending social activities e.g. pottery.  Sometimes I need encouragement to carry out tasks and some advocacy support. At times I may need support living with long term high pain levels caused by my disability (prolapsed discs pressing against my sciatic nerve) and the affect that has on my motivation and energy levels. 

References will be requested and the PA will need a DBS check.

Due to COVID  there is the expectation that the PA will wear the correct PPE and take the right actions and guidelines in this post to safeguard me.
