Care assistant for a young person P/T @ £12.38 /hr in Norwich NR2 area - Norwich - NR2

I’m a creative 30 year old woman looking for a part time personal assistant to assist with my care. I’m looking for someone chatty and creative who is an animal lover to align with my interests. I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Ideally you are physically strong, as there’s a degree of manual handling in this role, but full training will be given. Being flexible and able to cover different shifts is also a huge bonus, as there’s scope for covering different shifts or increasing your hours later in the year. 

The current available shifts are: 

Saturday dinner time: 5.30 - 8.30pm 
Sunday bedtime: 9.45pm - 11pm 

(However, as it’s a weekend, I’m open to two people sharing this role, and doing one weekend every two weeks)

Job description: 

I am looking for carers to join my lovely team of personal assistants who enable me to live independently in my home. I am a full time manual wheelchair user, and require help with my daily routines, which includes doing household tasks such as: cooking, walking my dog, personal care, doing physiotherapy exercises and accompanying me outside to social or music events. 

My eyesight is poor, so you will also be assisting me with replying to messages on my iPad, choosing films to watch and putting on audio description. 

I’m a busy and sociable person with a good sense of humour. I’m an Artist and have a studio that I paint in most afternoons. I’m also learning Italian, and really like listening to audiobooks and going to see live music. 

Care experience is preferable, but not essential, as your personality is more important. A driving license is preferred, but not necessary.  I have my own wheelchair adapted car.
