Seeking a personal assistant for a young gentleman in Norton.

My client is looking for someone to help him access social activities within the local community. He enjoys activities such as walking in the local area, swimming and bowling. He also requires support and reminders with some personal care tasks associated with these activities such as getting dressed after swimming or visiting the bathroom. Hours to be worked as either two afternoons, or one full day per week.

He would like someone with some awareness and prior experience of working with a young adult with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate would be friendly, but firm and patient. Positive and encouraging behaviours are essential to ensure appropriate activities are attempted and enjoyed. He is looking for an awareness of busy/noisy surroundings leading to possible anxieties, with the ability to reassure and support in short calming sentences.

Successful candidate would need full driving license and access to their own transport.
