Job Purpose 
  
To support an outgoing woman with physical support needs with domestic care and daily living tasks. 
 
Location: Dereham, NR19. 
 
Details 
 
Friendly personal assistant required to support outgoing mother of 3 children additional needs. Support is required with general upkeep of the family home, meal preparation and accessing leisure activities. 
 
I have various physical support needs including chronic pain, fatigue and vertigo which can affect my ability to carry out daily living tasks.  
 
Duties to include: 
 
·      General domestic duties to help me maintain a clean and tidy home, including dusting, mopping floors, hoovering, changing bed linen and carrying out a deep clean one a month. 
·      Supporting me with meal preparation, which may include batch cooking. 
·      Running general errands such as collecting prescriptions or food shopping. 
·      Supporting me to access leisure activities that I enjoy including going out for coffee and cake, going to the theatre and going
swimming. 
·      Providing parenting support to organise trips/days out with my children during school holidays. 
·      Any other reasonable duties as required. 
 
Person specification 
 
Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. My assessment of these, both on application and at interview, will be the main factor in determining if you are successful. Please refer to these when submitting your application. 
 
Essential 
 
·      Clean driving license holder. 
·      Experience/understanding of children with Special Educational Needs. 
·      Comfortable working in a household with cats. 
·      Takes pride in their work. 
 
Desirable 
 
·      Sense of humour and relaxed approach. 
 
Summary terms and conditions 
 
·      The rate of pay for this position is £9.91 per hour.

·      You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role. 

·      Hours and times of work: 6 hours per week preferably split between 2 weekdays during school hours (term time). Can accommodate some flexibility around working during school holidays. 
 
The post is subject to the following 
 
·      A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer. 
  
·      Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer. 
 
·      Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
