JOB DESCRIPTION

POST: | Support Worker
LOCATION: | Cramlington
JOB PURPOSE: | To provide support for a 16 year old young male with complex trauma, anxiety, depression and OCD.
REF: | BP/HAD

Main Duties

A support worker is required with experience of young people with additional needs, trauma and resulting behaviour, to help with access to activities within the local community, including attending gym, cinema. Provide support and encouragement to help with developing some life skills and independence within the community.

Hours

10 hours per week.

Rate of pay

£10.82 per hour.

Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata.

Any out-of-pocket expenses will be paid by the employer.

Person Specification

The successful applicant must:

have experience, a positive understanding and a genuine interest in working with young people with complex needs
have a high degree of initiative
be punctual and reliable as the young person cannot be left unsupervised
be flexible
have a happy, positive and caring nature
respect confidentiality
Non smoker/ non vaper

Car driver required and must be used insurance for business use.

The successful candidate will require an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS), cost to be met by employer.
