We are looking for experienced workers to support a polite, intelligent, musically gifted gentleman in his mid-fifties with diagnoses of Aspergers/Autistic Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing challenges, asthma, dissociative seizures and a number of mental health conditions, the most prevalent being depression at this particular time.
The support will comprise of 3 x half hour calls per day to provide structure to the client’s day and support him to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, prompting him to take his medication, maintain a clean home and appearance. With your support to create a timetable for focus, there will be an additional 3 x 3 hours per week to enable the client to access activities in the community including shopping, attending the gym and other appointments. There is the scope to be flexible with the hours and combine some of the half-hourly calls with the longer periods of time that are available.
