Care Assistant for a gentleman 35 hr/wk@ £12.71/hr in Leeds - FTE - £24.8k - LEEDS - LS19

Hi

I am a 46 year old married dad to two kids looking for someone to come in to our home and help with the day to day management of it. This would be on a long term basis (my current PA is retiring after 6 years with us).  I am a full-time wheelchair user who has severe muscle weakness in all limbs and as such am unable to do most household duties. 

Duties include (but not limited too)all the standard household ones eg
Washing clothes
Ironing
Putting clothes away
Tidying 
General cleaning and dusting
Supporting me to go food shopping
Changing bedding.

There is no personal care currently required in this position. 

My two boys are aged 10 and 8 and the youngest will require being taken to and from school (the eldest takes himself). This usually involves walking in the morning and either walking or car on the way back. The school is about 15-20 minutes walk. 

I also have 2 cats and a dog (a miniature labradoodle) who will require at least one walk during the day. 

The job is highly suitable for someone who has raised children and is used to day to day routine of managing a household. The start date would be Monday 4th January 2027. The 37.5 hour week would be Monday - Friday 8.15am - 3.45pm

PLEASE NOTE: while the hours are listed as 35 hours I have an application in with LCC social care to increase this to 37.5 and I'm hopeful that this will be in place by the start date.
