Befriender to support a lady in DL17 area 4 hours per week rate of pay is £9.50 per hour. - FERRYHILL - DL17

We are looking for a caring, compassionate, and friendly befriender to support our client with learning difficulties and autism. Our client currently lives at home with her parents and is therefore in search of a befriender to give some respite and independence outside of her home environment.

Most befrienders work full or part time elsewhere and do the befriending scheme in their own spare time. Typically you will be expected to work a minimum of 4 hours per week on a one – to – one basis.

Rate of pay is £9.50 per hour.

You will be expected to hold a full UK driving licence with access to your own car.

Our client is a young, funny trendy 30 year old woman who enjoys shopping, watching movies and going out for food. Our client is usually busy during the week and has most of her free time at the weekends but would be flexible to doing activities on an evening.

Our client is advertising for a befriender who will open her to new ideas and experiences, she would like to visit local attractions and has a love for Beamish Museum.

She enjoys trips to the Metro Centre and Newcastle for clothes shopping, watching pantomimes and concerts. She is also fond of a spa afternoon and enjoys going to get her nails done. Our client also likes to have a more chilled – out day, enjoying a walk with her dog to Hardwick Park and into Durham City.

She would also like a befriender who would broaden her social circle by going to nightclubs and to the pub on a Saturday night.

We are looking for someone of similar taste and interests to our client and generally be a supporting and assisting friend on a physical, mental, and emotional level. We would like a befriender who our client feels she can turn to for help, assistance, and support without judgement. A trustworthy and reliable person would be greatly appreciated by our client and her family.
