Job Purpose:
I am looking to employ a bank Personal Assistant to cover when my PA is away. I have immune suppressed condition, and I am looking for a dedicated individual to support me with various tasks around the house. Primary responsibilities would include some personal care as well household tasks such as maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. Occasional cooking and assisting with daily tasks such as handling letters, phone calls, and shopping. I am looking for a personal assistant who can provide support and companionship. Your role will be essential in helping me access the community and engage in various activities that enhance my overall well-being. This position would suit someone looking to gain care experience whilst studying towards a degree in the same field.

Location: Norwich, NR3

Details:
* Assisting with daily living activities including personal hygiene.
* Meal preparation and kitchen tasks.
* Handling letters, organising paperwork, and assisting with administrative tasks.
* Managing phone calls and taking messages if necessary.
* Accompanying me on occasional shopping trips or assisting with online shopping as needed.
* Empowering and assisting in maintaining my independence.
* Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance my general wellbeing.
* Help and support in and around the house.
* Any other reasonable duties as requested.

Person specification
Essential:
* Full UK driving license holder.
* Ideal candidate would be empathetic, calming, reassuring, caring and patient.
* You must understand the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for my privacy.
* Flexibility in working hours to accommodate my needs.
* Due to personal care in this role a female is preferred (Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies.)
* It is important that you show commitment, and if you cannot attend an interview you advise of this in advance.
 
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
 
Summary terms and conditions:
* Rate of pay for this position is £12.89 per hour.
* Hours of work: flexible holiday/sickness cover as and when required, up to 4 hours per week.
* 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays.
* Free training: Health and Safety, GDPR, Moving and Handling, Medication Practice, Food Hygiene.

Post is subject to the following:
* A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
* Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
