Autism Care Assistant for a teenage P/T@ £13.79/hr in Goole - FTE - £26.9k - Goole - DN14

Job Reference (c2b9ab6e)

I am looking for a friendly, easy-going and reliable person to become a positive role model and buddy to a 17-year-old young man.

This role is less about providing care and more about building a genuine connection, sharing interests, having fun and helping a young person grow in confidence and independence at his own pace.

My son has a diagnosis of autism. He is a bright, funny and capable young man who finds new situations and relationships challenging. He is also very good at masking how he feels, so patience, understanding and the ability to build trust gradually are important.

The role is to helping Harry getting out into the community, exploring interests, trying new activities and encouraging greater independence.

I am looking for someone who can be a supportive companion, share a laugh, encourage new experiences and provide a calm, consistent presence. The right person will be kind, open-minded, patient and willing to take the time to build a strong, trusting relationship.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a real difference while having fun along the way.

Must be able to drive and mileage paid for accessing community.
