A support Worker is required to provide support a 13 year old boy who lives in the Aykley Heads area of Durham

We are looking for someone to take our son, who has autism,  out into the community either once or twice a week.  He enjoys going for walks, going to the park and shopping.

Hours /Wage
4 hours per week term time, 8 hours per week school holidays

£13.50     per hour

 

The hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview, but would be out of school hours so either after school Monday – Friday, or weekends and any time in the holidays.

 

Duties

Your main role will be to support our son to go out into the community to make sure he is safe doing the things he enjoys.

 

Additional Requirements/Information

No training required.

Experience of working with adults or children with autism would be an advantage but not essential.

A car driver with own car is not essential as trips can be taken on the bus though this would be an advantage.


 An enhanced DBS will be required, the employer will cover the cost
