Role Overview:
I am seeking x2 dedicated, empathetic, and truly conscientious Care Assistants. This role is available on either an employed basis, or to hire the services of those who are already registered as self-employed. You will provide high-quality, person-centred support that respects the individual's autonomy, choices, and daily routines.
Flexible Working Opportunities:
These x2 positions are offered to reliable morning carers, to cover fixed weekdays, flexible/negotiable which days:
Role #1:
Any x3 weekdays p/week (Monday to Friday), 10AM-12:15PM
Role #2:
Any x2 weekdays p/week (Monday to Friday), 10AM-12:15PM
With the option to pick up extra week days on occasion, to cover holidays etc.

We know no one wants to work every weekend, so we are putting you in control. Saturday and Sunday morning shifts (10AM-12:15PM) are completely optional, on a week-by-week basis:
• Zero Pressure: You are only contracted for your fixed weekdays.
• Flexible Income: Opt-in to cover a weekend shift when you want extra money, or opt-out when you need a break.

Requirements:
• Verifiable references demonstrating reliability, respect and honesty.
• Food hygiene and H&S certifications (or willingness to train).
• An interest in cooking from scratch, with fresh ingredients
• Clear spoken, written and auditory English skills, to easily understand and communicate with a client with varied speech and processing difficulties
• You uphold confidentiality and GDPR
• Enhanced DBS – provided by employer
• Driver/use of own car is a bonus but not essential: Additional carer insurance required, Business Class 1, specifically to take clients out in your own vehicle, as required by law.

The Role:
As a diligent and proactive carer, you are versed in juggling tasks and prioritising with consideration of the clients needs and time constraints.
Privately employed directly by the client, working in their home Norwich, NR4, with the support of social services managing payroll.
Working one to one with myself (Woman/40s), an ambulatory wheelchair user. This position focuses on personal care/bathing, cooking/food preparation, home chores/cleaning and maintaining the clients home. Essentially, anything you do for yourself, you may well assist me with at some point, though I like to be independent where feasible.
Physical assistance is required depending on my abilities at that time. Also bed bound at times, which requires assistance using slide sheet and shower commode. Help me navigate decisions when I’m exhausted and my cognition is challenged. Emotional support and understanding is also helpful at times when things become overwhelming.
Training for Employees:
Mandatory online training courses will be completed during your initial trial period. You are welcome to undertake these at home when it’s convenient for you, and will be paid for this additional time.
