We are looking for PAs to work with a gentleman with a spinal injury who lives at home, supported by a care team. You will be involved with tasks like showering, dressing, administering medications, preparing meals and supporting with exercise. You will assist the gentleman with transfers and some clinical tasks relating to bowel and bladder management, including administering suppositories and managing a penile sheath.
The right person:
It is not essential that you have experience in care and support, but you must have common sense, be flexible, enthusiastic and be willing to learn. You will receive full training in all aspects of care duties, regular competency assessments and ongoing clinical support and supervision.
The hours :
There are 2 positions available to cover a total of 28 hours per week.
Shift times will range from:
7.30am - 12.30pm weekdays
9.00pm - 10.00pm weekdays
We are interested in hearing from you if you are able to work any number of these hours and are willing to work with an element of flexibility. Set hours may be offered across a 4-weekly period and this can be discussed at interview.
Applicants must be in agreement with providing additional cover at times by prior arrangement. This could include evening, weekend and overnight shifts.
The rates of pay and benefits:
£12.00 per hour
