We are looking for a kind, patient and reliable Support Worker to support our 10-year-old son, who has Autism, ADHD and limited verbal communication.

The role involves helping him access age-appropriate social and leisure activities in the local community. He has no danger awareness and needs close supervision at all times. He can become overwhelmed and may struggle to regulate his behaviour, so we are looking for someone calm, understanding and reassuring.

Experience supporting children with limited or no verbal communication would be ideal. Personal care is required (details to be discussed at interview).

Hours

5 hours per week during term time (used in one weekend block)
10 hours per week during school holidays (days flexible)

Pay

£13.74 per hour
5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro-rata)
Expenses paid

You must be reliable, caring, flexible and genuinely interested in supporting a child with complex needs. A car driver with business insurance is required. Enhanced DBS required (paid for by employer).
