Hours: 3 hours per week (Days to be considered - Tuesday or Wednesday morning or afternoon or Friday and Saturday afternoon)

Rate of Pay: £11.88per hour
 
Job purpose:
To build a long term relationship to support with day to day activities enabling my daughter to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets her chosen lifestyle.

I am looking for someone who can show that they have the ability to build a trusting relationship with my daughter, in order to support and motivate her to engage in activities and explore her interests. This may be due to your personal circumstance or through previous job roles.

Work Duties will include:

·       Encouraging independence through supporting learning life skills e.g. domestic laundry, cleaning, shopping, meal preparation and cooking

·       Supporting access to the local community

·       Boosting confidence within the home but also out in the community

·       Encouraging integration in local groups and network support organisations.

Other requirements

·       Ability to maintain confidentiality

·       Ability to establish and maintain effective communication

·       Ability to build a trusting relationship over time

Location and additional information

·       Within the home in Frampton Cotterell and the local area.

·       5.6 weeks annual leave pro-rata

Requirements for applicant

·       Patience and understanding of young people who struggle with social anxiety

·       Experience in working with people with autism is an advantage

·       Interest, skills and/or knowledge of the creative arts, and digital mediums/animation a bonus

·       Support with getting around in a manual wheelchair

·       Flexible, reliable and honest

·       Ability to work on your own initiative

·       Driver's license for occasional trips preferred but not required

·       An enhanced DBS check will be required
