Support Worker for a BSL Deaf gentleman in Norwich for a 4 hour shift p/w @ £15 p/h - NORWICH - NR7

• Car owner/driver with appropriate business use insurance.
• Native or local BSL user (level 6).
• A good understanding of the Deaf community and culture, and of the issues facing people with sensory impairments.
• Experience of supporting individuals with sensory impairments.
• Good conversational skills with similar interests to me.
• A confident and positive attitude with a good sense of humour – I have a very dry sense of humour!

• The rate of pay for this position is £15 per hour.
• You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
• Hours and times of work: 4 hour shift each week, to be arranged at interview to both parties.
• The annual holiday entitlement will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

• A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
• Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
• Completion of a satisfactory probationary period.
