I am a 62-year-old woman who lives at home, in Blyth with my husband. I would like a support worker to come and spend some time with me to allow my husband some time to enjoy his own hobbies and interests.
I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, and being outdoors, when the weather allows.
I may take a little while to get used to spending time with you, so having somebody who is calm, patient, and understanding is a must.
I would prefer:
- A female care assistant experienced supporting people with dementia
- With a chatty, happy-go-lucky persona
- Somebody who is prompt and reliable
- Somebody local and willing to access local areas of interest/activities

Hours of work:
- 2 x 3 hours enabling per week – days to be confirmed at interview
- Flexibility of hours is possible for the right applicant
Annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata paid holiday per year
The successful applicant will require an enhanced disclosure and barring certificate, and the cost will be met by the employer.
Training will be on-the-job and via an online learning platform as appropriate. The successful applicant will also have access to the local authority training platform to access ongoing professional development.
