Personal Care Assistant P/T@ £13.09/hr Morpeth area (flexible 9+ hours / temp) - Morpeth - NE61

Part time (temp) PA required for lady with MND who needs some assistance with personal care and jobs such as helping putting up medication, caring for equipment etc.  You would mainly be assisting by being the clients ‘hands’, organising things she is no longer able to do - as such the role is varied, with her interests being wide and varied from writing, family history to a love of birds and the outdoors.

The client uses a power wheelchair and has all equipment necessary and is still relatively independent.  The applicant potentially needs their own transport as the location is rural, although it is on a bus route from Morpeth.

The hours and days can be worked around the applicants personal circumstances, but with a  preference of 3 hours per day, but willing to consider other arrangements. Although the role is advertised as temporary there is a very high chance it will become a permanent position, plus the hours may increase in the future.

No specific experience required, a knowledge of MND would be beneficial, but not necessary. The main qualities the client is looking for is a kind, motivated individual who is willing to help and can work using their own initiative to make the clients life that bit easier.
