An independent, sociable & active 16-year-old 6th former with additional needs is seeking a kind, flexible, happy & energetic individual in Bottisham (CB25) to assist her in everyday life
Duties: Drop off & collection from 6th form, drive & accompany to extra-curricular activities such as dance classes, general companionship & being the responsible adult within the home whilst Mum is at work or away on business.
This role does include light housekeeping duties including meal prep, cleaning up, laundry if needed
Salary: £10-£13 gross per hour for 19 hours work with additional paid overtime availabl, overnight stays . Salary is dependent on qualifications & experience

Core Hours:
Mon - 8.30am-9.30am & 3.00pm-5.30pm
Tues - 8.30am-9.30am & 3.00pm-5.30pm
Weds- 8.30am-9.30am & 3.00pm-8.00pm
Thurs- 8.30am-9.30am & 5.00pm-6.00pm
Fri- 8.30am-9.30am & 3.00pm-6.00pm
2 nights per week additional
During the holidays the hours may change to 9.00am-10.00am or 10.00am-11.00am & 3.00pm-5.30/6.00pm but plenty of notice will be given. There will also be opportunities to work some full days during the holidays.
The successful candidate must be willing to be flexible as with notice some overnight stays & early morning starts will be required to accommodate Mum’s work commitments. A private bedroom with access to a bathroom will be provided for overnight stays.
The ideal candidate will have SEN experience with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy (currently controlled by medication), Dystonia, Speech & Language Delay, Psychogenic Non-epileptic Seizures & Profound deafness (with cochlear implants). Being trained in epilepsy is preferred although training for this can be arranged for the right candidate.
You must live and have the right to work in the UK.
You must have a DBS on the update system or be willing to apply for an enhanced check immediately.
You must have a minimum of two contactable references.
You must have an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate or be willing to complete one.
You must have at least 2 years formal experience of working with children of a similar age or a formal childcare qualification.
