Personal Assistant required to support a female aged 16 years who lives in Consett area - Consett - DH8

My daughter is looking to get to know some people to help her with her daily adventures and care needs which include all aspects of her life. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an absolutely incredible individual.

She requires 2:1 staffing due to her moving and handling requirements.

Hours and Wage
Hours are for 2:1 staffing and include 8 hours per week term time - 5 hours we will use for AM help and 3 hours we will accrue to use when needed.
15 hours per week school holidays.
Also 24 overnights per year - 16 hours per each overnight - either at home or away with me and my daughter.

Duties
My daughter has pmld and requires a diploma level 3 carer as lead staff or equivalent.
She is 16 years old and very cool, she loves rock music, festivals and cruising in the car.
She has sensory needs and really likes bumpy roads in car, walks especially in the breeze, hydrotherapy, eating out and visiting outdoor places mainly.
Duties could include taking her out on social activities as above.
Duties could also include care within her home setting.
She needs assistance with eating and drinking and has a SAL plan.
She needs assistance with all aspects of her daily living including personal care, play, physiotherapy and staying safe.

She is looking for someone who can drive as part of the team but non drivers can also apply.

She likes calm people around her who talk to her as you would any other 16 year old.
She is good at using switches to communicate what she wants to do.
She is amazingly physically strong despite her disabilities and an inspiration to the people she meets.

Additional Requirements/Information
She needs specialist care training which can be discussed and training arranged.
