Are you energetic, fun loving and understanding? Our charismatic 9-year-old boy, is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to join his weekend adventures! He loves chatting, role play, trampolining, music, swinging and trips on the train or bus. He has a genetic condition which presents similarly to Global developmental delay, as well as autism. He can sometimes struggle with change and uncertainty as a result, but he is a great character and lots of fun.
Position: Weekend Personal Assistant
Location: Keynsham
Hours: 4 hours every other Saturday/Sunday
Hourly rate: £11.44 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Plan and engage in fun activities with him, either in the family home or on short trips locally
- Support him with his uncertainty around routines and change, using the PANDA approach to PDA
- Help with basic care needs such as using the toilet and meal times
- Ensure his safety and well-being
Requirements:
- Friendly and caring person
- Previous experience working with children with Special Needs an advantage
- A knowledge of the PANDA approach to PDA
- Positive attitude and creative mindset
