Personal Assistant for After-School Care

Hours:
4 hours per week term time and 7 hours per week school holidays
Wednesdays & Thursdays, 4:00pm – 6:00pm (starting at 4:00pm when the child arrives home from school)

About the Child:
The child is a 6-year-old with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, profound learning difficulties, and well-managed epilepsy. They are non-verbal and unable to sit or move independently. The child enjoys sensory activities, being read to, and playing with remote-control toys. During warmer months, they enjoy outdoor activities such as swinging in the garden or visiting the park.

Tasks Required:

Meet the child off the school bus (usually home between 4:00-4:15pm).
Engage the child in interactive and stimulating activities, including reading stories, playing with remote-control toys, and other sensory-friendly play.
Assist with outdoor play in the garden or trips to the park, weather permitting.
Ensure the child's safety and well-being during the shift.
Support the child with general care and supervision after a long school day.

Hourly Rate:
£16.47 for self-employed PA's
£12.55 for employed PA's
