Job Purpose

To provide support for older gentleman, allowing him to remain in his own home.

Details

As an older man suffering with dementia. I have a busy working family close by but the support of a P.A/Carer will enable me to live comfortably and safely in my own home. My P.A. will keep me company, make sure that I have had meals and remind me about personal care, as well as making sure that I am dressed appropriately for the weather and that my heating is on when needed. I currently have support on weekdays, but need someone to provide consistent care over weekends (2X4 hours), with the potential for additional hours to cover leave and sickness.

The rate of pay for this position is £9.37 per hour

You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.

Hours and times of work: 8 hours per week, 4hrs each on Saturday and Sundays, plus potential for holiday/sickness cover on weekdays

The post is subject to the following:

A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.

Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.

Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
