Can you spare 6 hours a week to support an adult to access activities within his community? Do you have access to a car?
A PA is required in the Tingley area (WF3) to accompany Nigel, a male adult with epilepsy, in accessing his local community. He likes to visit the local town to explore cafes, charity shops, and local markets. He can be unsteady on his feet, therefore, uses a walking stick to aid him. You need to be aware of this and help him as and when required. He does not like crowded places and can become stressed in busy environments.
Nigel requires a PA for a total of 6 hours a week which will be worked in two 3 hour slots Monday to Friday. The working days can be flexible, however, Nigel likes to have a routine and therefore punctuality and stability are essential in this role. You will be required to transport Nigel between activities in your car. You will be directly employed and accountable to him.
Rate of pay £9.18 per hour
Holiday Entitlement You will be entitled to 5.6 weeks each year pro-rata. You will be required to give at least two weeks' notice for any holiday required so that alternative arrangements can be made.
