Job Purpose:
I am a happy and busy young man with a diagnosis of learning disability, Autism and ADHD. I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me on Mondays with accessing community and becoming more independent. I need reassurance and prompting all the time, or I can get upset and become confused. I like routine and knowing what I am doing. I need to help to manage my daily plans because I am would not be able to do this without support. You would help me to set some personal goals and support me in working towards those. This could be going out in the local community to buy ingredients for lunch or baking or to practice budgeting and paying for items, getting onto public transport and trying out another different types of social interactions as I have only limited experience. With your help I could join groups with similar interests as well as plan activities of my choice. Or you could be supporting me with preparing a lunch, baking or making a healthy snack. This would be a great step on my way to learn how to be more independent and gains some everyday life skills.

My main interests are football, computers, games and War Hammer. I enjoy walking. I love baking and the theatre. I like to keep busy and occupied.

Essential:
Caring and reliable.
Patient.
Good communication skills.
Reassuring and motivating.

Clean driving license, appropriate business insurance cover.

Desirable:
Experience with supporting someone with Autism/ADHD.

Summary terms and conditions:
· The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.
· Hours and times of work: 6 hours per week on Mondays, exact times advised in advance.
· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
· This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, Autism and Food Hygiene.

Post is subject to the following:
· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
