PA for child, P/T flexible hours@ £15.65 in Boroughbridge - York - YO51

We’re looking for a creative, fun and engaged PA for our 9 year old ASD son who loves science, drawing, dinosaurs and the outdoors. He’s a joyful and humorous child with a fantastic character. He didn’t learn to speak until he was 6 and so his speech is a little different but it does not belie his intelligence - he’s an incredibly clever little boy who loves learning (and then testing the adults around him to check they have also been learning with him; be prepared for lots of facts and questions about obscure animals and evolution!) 

It would be lovely if you go out on day trips together, he loves museums, gardens, trampolining, playgrounds and going to cafes. He needs supervision around roads as he doesn’t have danger awareness and would just wander into one if you’re not holding his hand. 

He doesn’t need any personal care, other than supervision whilst in the bath and help teethbrushing and getting dressed. With regards to food, it would only be simple food preparation such as popping a pizza in the oven or making a sandwich, I will always prepare anything more complex. The main priority of the job is to hang out with him and have a lovely time together! 

We’re looking for someone to do part time work - some date nights during term time and then some full days during school holidays but we’re very flexible so we can work with you to find a schedule that works for us both.
