Job Purpose 

To provide overnight support in the home for a lady with Cerebral Palsey 

 

Location: Sprowston, Norwich 

 

Details 

Due to Cerebral Palsey I have limited mobility, therefore I require assistance transferring to and from my wheelchair, some personal care and with general light domestic tasks including help with meals. I have a very pleasant adapted home, and although I am shy when first meeting new people I will be friendly when I get to know you. I have a good relationship with my current carers who have been with me for many years. I am hoping to find a new member of the team who I can trust and who has a friendly, caring nature. The night time role will allow carer to have periods of sleep however they must be on hand to support when called to assist me.

Due to the personal care element of this role a female carer is preferred.

Summary terms and conditions 

 

·         The rate of pay for this position is £11.44 per hour  

 

·         You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role. 

 

·         Hours and times of work: 2 overnight shifts, usually Fridays and Saturdays, 10pm to 7.30am

 

·         A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer. 

 

·         Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
