You will be working as part of a small team to provide quality care and support to a child and his family. Your role is to meet all of the child’s needs by supporting a clinical care assistant. You will need to be alert, calm and patient at all times. You will be required to carry out all aspects of personal care and assist in using a peg feed system. Assisting in the administration of medication is also a part of your role and full training in the above activities will be given. We are looking for someone who wants the opportunity to get to know this child and interact with him in a caring manner.

Experience of working with children with severe complex needs and epilepsy in a caring or teaching capacity would be an advantage.

Hours: Approximately 16 hours per week consisting of some waking night shifts and day shifts. You must be willing to work weekends if required. Day rate £9.18p/h Night rate £10.00p/h

Staff will work the hours agreed per week and must be flexible to meet the child’s needs. At times you will be expected to support the child away from the home, any travel expenses and costs associated with this will be reimbursed.

All staff must be over 18 years of age. You will be required to undertake a DBS check and provide proof of your right to work in the UK. You must complete shadow training with a current member of the child's team. All successful applicants will be required to work a 6 month probationary period.
