Job Details
Female, 27, with complex needs including enteral feeding, manual wheelchair user requires PA/carer to maintain independence in the home and community up to 16 hours per week to give family much needed respite.
Seeking a happy, calm under pressure, confident carer who can use own initiative with experience of mobile PEG feeding, administering medicines, Autism and First Aid. Must be physically fit to push manual wheelchair around the home town. Moving and handling required for personal care, manual wheelchair, car transfers etc.
It is essential to be able to support me going up and down stairs until I move into more suitable accommodation. I have some communication issues so it is important my carer speaks very clear English with no strong accents. Must be pet friendly as I have a dog and cat. Must be safe experienced car driver with own vehicle large enough to transport my wheelchair and have appropriate business class insurance. Looking to employ 8 hours per week initially on Wednesday and Friday afternoons 1-5pm building up to a maximum of 8 hours both days.

Summary terms and conditions
· The rate of pay for this position is £18.00 per
· Hours of work: Up to 8hrs weekly initially on a flexible contract. Times variable, happy to discuss at interview stage.
· 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays
· Free training as appropriate for role
The post is subject to the following:
· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
