Providing personal care for gentlemen, allowing respite for family carers.

Location: Bacton, NR12

 

 

We are seeking a friendly and flexible P.A. to help care for an older man who has mobility issues (Parkinsons). Most care currently provided by family however there will be approx. 4 hours care needed every 3 weeks on a rolling basis. Visits are morning and evening, mornings being at flexible times but 8pm preferred for evenings. Tasks to include assisting with personal care, washing, dressing and toileting (with use of a Stand Aid and Commode). The P.A. should also take some time to engage in conversation as he has full cognitive function.

·       The rate of pay for this position is £15.00 per hour for employed staff and up to £20 per hour if self-employed      

·       Hours and times of work: 4 hours every 3 weeks on a rolling rota – flexible to provide family respite. Potentially additional hours in future.

·       You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.

 

·       Free Care Skills Training provided to employed staff

 

·       A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.

 

·       Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
