Female Personal Support Worker for a lady P/T@ £13.74/hr in Blyth - FTE - £26.8k - Blyth - NE24

Job Reference (57774bf0)

We are looking to recruit a Female Support Worker to provide support for a 55-year-old lady.  She is a friendly person and quiet until you get to know her. The purpose of your role will be to enable her independence, provide companionship and to take part in activities she enjoys. You will mostly support out in the community.

You will support with favorite activities such as going shopping, out for lunch, trips on the bus, going to watch a film at the cinema.  Busy and loud places can be a struggle so you will need to be mindful of this when planning the day.

This lady enjoys taking part in crafts such as knitting and watching TV.  It will be an advantage, however not essential if you have experience of supporting people with autism, ADHD or learning disabilities.  You will support within her home as it is hoped that she will get a new property to move into in the near future.  We would also like you to be able to suggest things to do out in the community so you should be willing to be proactive in finding various activities to take part in.

We would prefer you to be a car driver with your own transport, however this isn’t essential as public transport can be used with access to a carer’s pass. Expenses will be met by your employer.

Hours -  10 hours per week to be worked as 2 x 5-hour shifts over the week.
