We are looking for an experienced Care / Support worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Thornton Cleveleys area, with a view to start in January 2025. The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client living with a brain injury to lead an individual and independent lifestyle within their own home and the community. Our client has a wide range of interests particularly board and card games, outings with social groups, bowling and low level woodwork.
You will be working as part of a small team on a 2:1 / 1:1 basis.
The role is for casual hours working a combination of day shifts (8am-2pm) and evening shifts 7pm-9.30pm. There may also be some ad hoc hours available in addition to this.

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.
Who we are looking for:
You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:
- Gastronomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluid and medication
- Neurological behaviour support / occasions of inappropriate behaviour
- Having a clean, full driving licence is desirable, as there is the use of a mobility vehicle.
- Personal care, including incontinence pad changes and measures to maintain skin integrity
- Moving and Handling (including hoisting)
- Domestic duties ( Food prep, laundry, cleaning)
- Monitoring of general health and well being, & daily record keeping
- Communication support.
You should also have:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
