Care Assistant required to support a male aged 25 years who lives in the Stanley area.

Looking for support for a young man with epilepsy and mobility issues, support with personal care and social outings. Job includes help get up and dressed and take to local group, must be able to drive, transport provided. Training will be provided for seizure first aid and emergency medications. 

Hours /Wage

4.5 hours per week £13 per hour

Support would be required on Tuesdays 10 am till 2.30 pm, to take to a local community group session 12- 2. Would need to drive, wheelchair assisted vehicle provided, need to be passed test 2 years and have no more than 9 points on licence. 

Duties

To support the young person to get out of bed, washed (not showered) dressed and breakfast and chaperone to attend a local community group, then return home. 

Additional Requirements/Information

Epilepsy first aid training will be provided 

Emergency medications administration training provided 

No experience necessary, someone friendly that gets along with the young person

Needs to drive, have passed test 2 years and no more than 9 points on their licence. WAV provided 

 An enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost
