Enabler required for young man with autism in Alnmouth area to support with 5hrs per week.
Hours can be arranged flexibly but will be required mainly on either a Monday and/or Friday with an occasional request for weekends but will be discussed at interview.
Experience in working with young people with autism preferred but not essential.
Hours of work: 5hrs per week
Rates of Pay: £13.09 per hour
Main Duties:
Enabling support required with socialising and accessing the local community and visiting places of interest.
Successful applicant to be comfortable in cycling as independence is being encouraged using a bicycle and road safety is to be supported. Also activities accessible by bus or train as again this will be client’s main mode of transport.
Worker to have an interest in gaming specifically Nintendo games, fitness, going to the gym.
An interest in baking or cooking would also be an advantage.

Further Information: An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS) will have to be obtained for the successful candidate (at employer’s expense).
