Care Assistant for a young person F/T@ £11.44/hr in LS13 - FTE - £0.0k - Leeds - LS13

We are looking for someone to support J, a 13 year old young man who would like some alternative company other than his parents! 
J loves shopping, motorbiking (at Bumpy), riding his bike & scooter, trains, football, building and making things, eating out, gaming and baking. 

J is autistic and has ADHD. J needs support/supervision in the community to help keep him safe and build up his life skills. J likes to be independent and will have a try at anything, but often needs support with prompting and breaking down communication. 

Whilst J can become emotionally dysregulated, this is usually in the home with his family where he feels most safe, and has never displayed this challenge with other people. It would be helpful to have an understanding about sensory processing and de-escalation strategies to support heightened situations of emotional regulation. 
J will need someone who can be fair and clear with expectations and boundaries. Once this is set out, J is accepting. 
 J likes to be active and is a chatter box. He is liked by many and has a reputation for 'being a funny chap'.
We have 3 hours per week and 5 hours per week during school holidays. We can be flexible with days and times.
